In Florida, if a student is attending a failing public school – a school earning an F or three consecutive D grades – they may be eligible to attend a higher performing public school in their county through Opportunity Scholarships.
The Florida Department of Education provides the list of failing public schools. If a child attending a school on this list is eligible, the school district is responsible for providing transportation to the higher performing school.
